Dear Ella West
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your life to come and tell us about being an author and to inspire the writer in us.
I learnt that you dont just give your book to someone and instantly it gets published, but tht it is a long and complicated process that takes a lot of trial and error and that if you dont have a never give up attitude you wont survive as a writer and that if you enjoy it writing can be a wonderful and prosperous career choice for anyone who loves to write.

Dear Ella West
Thank you for coming to us and talking to us about yourself, your writing and just writing in general, it was a great talk.
I learnt that character don’t always have to be the main part of a story and you dont have to absolutely plan what you are going to write and that you can simply go with the flow.
Once again, Thank you

Jade, Room 14, T.N.I.S.
Thank you so much for coming to talk to us about yourself and your books because it was interesting to hear. When you were talking about how to make a character, I learnt that when you just have little things to add to the characters facials and body, it makes it really easy.
I have always wondered what life was life for a writer, and now I know its different for each writer because it depends on how much of you life is dedicated into it. From my point of view I do think that the stories you write have a lot of thought and I am sure you are very proud.
Hayley, Room 14, T.N.I.S.

Thank you for coming to Tahuna to talk about your books and how they get published.
I enjoyed hearing about how you made up the name Ella West.
I learnt about how books take so long from the time that they’re written to the time that they’re in the bookshop.
From Ruby, Room 14, T.N.I.S.
Thank you for coming along to Tahuna and tlaking to our syndicate about your life as a writer.

Brandon, Room 14, T.N.I.S
Thank you for coming to Tahuna to talk to us about your life as a writer.
I learned heaps and will make me think twice about writing as a future career.
But the main thing that really amazed me the most was seeing what a story looks like before they get the cover put on like we see in our school libraries.
Thank you again,
Kerry, Room 14, T.N.I.S
Thank you for coming to taking the time to come and talk to us about your writing career.
I didn’t realise that author’s don’t get to design their own cover and that it normally takes around 3-4 months to write a complete book. It sounds really hard to publish a book.
Brittany, Room 14, T.N.I.S
Thank you for taking the time off your own work to come to our school to tell some of us about life as a New Zealand author.
I appreciate your time with us and I think what you do is amazing.
Shawn, Room 14, T.N.I.S.
Dear Ella West
Normally when I read books I don’t tend to take much notice of the fabulous writer who has spent much of their precious time writing the books I get so much pleasure out of, but that is because I assume that I’ll never meet them or have anything to do with them, so the name on the front cover doesn’t mean much, but when I found out that the author of Thieves, Anywhere But Here and Real Life was coming to Tahuna suddenly the name on the cover nent something to me. I was very excited. You might be able to gather that I have read your books and enjoyed them. (Pleeaase write another book after Real Life.)
It was a great pleasure to have you at Tahuna.
Lucy, Room 14, T.N.I.S

It was fun when you went around asking us what our character could look like and act like.
Tiffany, Room 14, T.N.I.S
Thank you for coming to Room 14 and talking to us about being an author.
I learn’t that when you write an article you’re not allowed to use adjectives. Like you can’t write the screaming man came out of the building. That was interesting.
THank you once again for coming and talking to us about being an author.
From Aaron, Room 14, T.N.I.S
It was great to have an author come to talk to us as I plan to be an author myself. I would find it very satisfying to get a book published.
I hope the book writing goes well and thank you.
Sincerely Kurtis, Room 14, T.N.I.S
